황금보검 6
1:01 Silla Golden Dagger studded with garnet gemstones originated from Eastern Europe ; the exotic Golden Dagger designed by the special skill of the time. We expect that it would be a masterpiece made by a Eastern Roman craftsman during the Migration period.
0:30 During the Migration period(3C-6C), Eastern Roman craftsmen made various handicrafts by the special orders of people from north Asia, which is the possible evidence that Silla Golden Dagger was made by an Eastern Roman craftsman with greatest skill in the Black Sea region.
Then, who was the owner of the Golden Dagger, so exotic, and how could be the Golden Dagger brought into Silla (Korea) 1500 years ago.
1:15 Who was the person buried with the Golden Dagger in the Silla Tomb (14th Tomb) 1500 years ago?
1:46 Kyungju national Museum Historic remains unearthed in 14th Tomb
This seemingly simple iron saddle is decorated with a gold-inlaid dragon.
2:43 Golden decoration for horses
Fancy remains and the Golden Dagger unearthed in the tomb prove that the owner of the tomb must be of a high ranking person.
2:56 Based on the two pairs of earings and the positions of the remains in the tomb, it has been reaveled that there two persons were buried. Were they Silla noble family members or foreigners who brought the Golden Dagger into Silla?
3:28 I believe the owner of the tomb where the Golden Dagger was found were a westerner.
But others believe that they were not foreigners as the other remains except the Golden Dagger were made in Silla and the burial tradition followed Silla tradition of the time.
4:29 Teeth of the persons buried in the 14th tomb but unfortunately because they are decayed badly, it is not impossible to get any information about the owner of Silla Golden dagger from the remains.
4:55 There other human remains were discovered in another Silla tomb built during in the early 6C (the same period when the 14th tomb in Kyungju was built).
In the Chuamdong tumulus (early 6C, Silla), large quantities of human bone were discovered.
6:29 Maternal DNA Test Results on the ancient human remains from the Korean Peninsula, Mongolia and Uzbekistan
The DNA test revels that Silla people and ancient nomadic people lived in modern west Mongolia region were closely related to each other.
7:08 Cultural and genetic similarities between Silla and ancient North-Central Asian nomadic people are the strong evidences that the roots of Silla people and their cultures were so strongly related with North Asian Plains.
7:23 Excavation of Great Whangnam Tomb, Kyungju (Silla) July 6, 1973
7:51 In Whangnam tomb, the biggest one, a lustrous gold crown was discovered.
Gold Crowns are prized as the essence of Silla Gold-Culture.
The patterns on the upper part of Korean Gold Crowns (every crown) mean deer horns and trees.
8:23 In Afghanistan in Central Asia, Gold Crown so similar to Shilla one was discovered. Made around 1C, this one is recognized as the origin of Silla Gold Crown : symbols of tree branches and leaves.
8:50 Bulgaria has similar one as well.

  • I'M BULGARIAN AND I HAVE FULL RESPECT OF KOREA AND I LOVE YOU GUYS :**

  • @Cheon1Son Also, according to the Thracian mythology, the human soul passes trough 4 stages: human, hero, demon and god. So you have to kill something like a serpent, to become a hero, and I think that when you become a demon, you become something like a serpent. So it makes sense that their meaning is not entirely negative. More likely they represent the hidden power of Nature.

  • @Cheon1Son We call it Zmey . And it comes from serpent. As for its meaning, it's questionable. In the folklore, they usually guard water sources or wells and usually it takes a hero to kill the Zmey and to restore balance. Also they tend to kidnap young girls to eat them, but in the fairytales, they are never eaten, instead they are kept prisoners. So the hidden sexual message is pretty clear.

  • @Cheon1Son

Dragons could also have been Serpents.

Originally, before christianity, serpents were considered benevolent.

And in the Anceint Schools of Wisdom, the serpents represented the kundalini.

It was only christianity that twisted everything, thurned ancient knowledge upside down.

  • @123bonitas But isn't Dragon symbol of evil in Bulgaria like in other European cultures? Dragon in Korea has very positive meanings. In Korea we call it Mir (or Yong). What do you call Dragon in Bulgarian?
