ROLLS ROYCE cars of the past? A small company that often struggled to survive building the best built cars in the world. A small work forse of dedicated well trained craftsman producing handbuilt quality and engineering excellence that was second to no one. That was the reason to buy one.
Rolls of today? A ugly pretentious looking product owned by a huge corporation that sells it under the old reliable rolls royce name. No class. Just vulgar - like the people who buy it.

His other car is a Toyota, it says on the old Rolls plate , thats much more reliable than these old crates. Ask the man that owned five of them !!

The RROC (Rolls-Royce Owners' Club) has several regions througout the US. Each region schedules activities to learn about our cars and just have fun with our cars in general. The upshot of this is having many RR and Bentley motorcars gathered in one space. It's quite a sight for those who have never seen a Rolls-Royce close up, forget about seeing scores of them.

amazing, the imagination of automakers in the past. this is art.

Whoa whoa...wait a sec..this was on Hood River, Oregon? What? :D Was it drawing owners from Portland and Seattle? I mean, out that direction in Oregon is fairly sparsly populated. I'm down in Corvallis and I think I've only seen one non-rental Rolls-Royce (a dark red Silver Shadow) out on the street in my area, and I've lived here my whole life. I can't imagine there'd be many of these in north-central Oregon

This was in Hood River at our Lavender Farm. It was a RROC event with cars coming from all over the states, perhaps International.?. It was a real joy.

By the way do you know of the couple in Independence who own a Phantom III? Its a sedan with a division window. It doesn't have the typical wheelbase of a limousine, though, so you wouldn't guess it was a limo till you got up close. They also own a Silver Cloud I. They're the owners of the Speakeasy Restaurant in downtown Independence, a 1920's-themed place. They often park the Phantom III on the street out in front.

I don't. I've heard of the Speakeasy Restaurant but haven't been there. Sounds fun. I have another video of vintage autos, Fords mostly, pre-1921, that came out to our farm last month. When I can get to it I will post that video too.
