Ok this time I've completely re-written the engine from the ground up as the previous version had many faults. I demonstrate here how this new engine automatically navigates and roams when it can no longer see you.

Again, this does not use waypoints or anything, this moves completely on it's own and does its own thing.

I show a bug that I need to resolve at the end but I'm hoping to have that resolved over the next day or two. This is simply a video to display current progress and changes from yesterday.

  • I've had a few requests for tutorials and code, I'll try and sort something out in the near future. It doesn't use A* or any public code, it is simply self made to learn Unity.

  • Yeah it selects the most inefficient point at that stage and then gets stuck. I'll hopefully sort it soon as I want to continue with other situations it may come to but the engine now is much better than the one from yesterday.
