@TerminatorSony You are supposed to put seafoam in the car while running when clearing out the exhaust... for the gas tank or crank case you can have it off. I do seafoam every 4-5 months in my camaro's carb to keep carbon build up in the exhaust to a minimum, and you keep it running and pour till it starts to shake like it'll stall and then you back off for a bit. I have never seen someone do it while the engine is off, it would make little sense to pour an entire 1/3 of a bottle while it's off
@BlueRice it is recommended that you do a 1/3 1/3 1/3 split. Then you drive it for 20-50 miles after the smoke show and then drain your oil. this flushes all the carbon buildup in the crankcase. i would also recommend that when the oil is changed, put a bottle of Zmax into the oil so it can repair anything that the seafome damaged,
@TerminatorSony true, what people have to understand its not so good to put in the oil cap unless you really need to. and if you do, dont drive it like that let it idle for a few time and then drain the oil out. what happen if you let it stay in there too long with the engine run, it can cause premature wear on the engine. for example, it can cause friction on the piston ring and then you will actually lose compression etc.. dump it in gas tank is ok at lease 1/3 of the bottle to a full tank gas
@Carlijawan DO NOT do it while the engine is running I repeat DO NOT Seafoam is very Flammable &Dangerous best way is to pour the seafoam in your Brake Booster following the bottle procedures Ok Cleaning the throttle body while engine is off is fine and use a towel to dry it. Some put in gas tank to clean the injectors and some do put in the oil cap, kids be safe.
