Install windows 7 onto it and upgrade the RAM, so far no problems for me

Well to answer some of your questions:
Batterylife seems pretty much the same in Vista and XP, maybe a bit better in Vista. Upgrading System-Memory is very easy, you just need to open one tiny screw and get access to the Memoryslot. Gamingperformance in Vista is worse then in XP. Drivers are included on the CD, except Touchpad and Graphics, which can easily be found on the manufactors homepage(synaptics/intel)

Like all the other Atom-based Netbooks the NC10 has only one Memorybay with 1x1gb installed.

Vista runs smooth on silent mode, unfortunetely Video&Gamingperformance is not that great on vista, i presume it´s the videodriver since running videos&games from xp is much better.
Right now i´m back at XP because I like a little gaming once in a while.

The function keys work with the drivers included on the driver-cd. I think the driver is called "magic-keyboard"
The res. is fine for typing, surfing and pdf reading.
The Score in Vista ist 2,6

What maximum frequency ram on nc10? 667mgz or 553?
On similar eeepc1000 it is possible to put ddr2 667, whether it is possible on nc10 to put ram with frequency 667mgz?

IT comes with 1gb 667MHz Ram, My 2GB Ram is also 667Mhz and works just fine
