Well, tallness is a cue for good genes and good health. Tallness itself does have real value in terms of added physical power. Depends where your priorities are.

Man I have to say I totaly agree with you. This was very usefull as it brought more awareness. I knew some stuff but not all of this. Now I m aware and can understand why women/girls alaways select tall guys. Tallness is an exagerated desirable trate because of female "runaway sexual selection". Tallness has no real value in terms of natural means but is only snob fashion imposed by the female gender.
