You know, I never thought about that. This country would be a lot better if the dishonest Republicans and Democrats were replaced by honest Libertarians and Progressives. At least that way the two parties would at least BOTH be trying to solve this country's problems, and differences in politics would be due to legitimate differences in belief.

All politics and no principle. Bush is addicted to a vice that God knows what. Cheney is the "magicman" as Mcleland would call him, getting anything he wants inluding all the residuals and perks he gets as vice and former Haliburton exec. I do not think they care anymore, the system is broken, my government teacher in high school used to say, if it ain't broke don't fix it, it is clearly broken and it is time for the people in the US, to use the original documents set up by our founding fathers and fix the system i.e. The Declaration of Independence...Thomas Jefferson said to clear it up every forty years I believe...
