Ondestrak - Without Timbre Filters

This is a video demonstrating my Ondestrak, a musical controller for MaxMSP. It's inspired by the Ondes Martenot and built from a Gametrak video game controller. The pitches are fairly imprecise here but I'm more or less riffing on the song Good Vibrations which, incidentally, features a Tannerin, an instrument conceptually similar to the Ondes Martenot. In this video I do not have the Ondestrak programmed to respond to the joysticks on either end of the ribbon controller. It is only outputting an unfiltered sine wive, varying in intensity with pressure asserted to the hinged base-board and varying in pitch with the position of the ribbon controller.

can the hinge be put on the near side instead of the back side?

Absolutely, I just found this configuration to make more sense with how I wanted to manipulate the controller, but this all just DIY, right?

Yep, if by "interpolating" you mean "butchering." The Beach Boys used an instrument called a Tannerin on that recording, and that's one of the instruments I was thinking about when I built this.

This is awesome, any way to get something like it to function away from the computer? What sort of resistance range do the pots and sticks get?
