Church Converted Into a Mosque Since its establishment of the Green Lane Mosque in Birmingham in the early 70's, the Masjid Mosque has gone through numerous phases of development and progress. The building itself has become a landmark of the area and is well-known to all, with a colorful history behind the structure.
The Green Lane Mosque is based in Birmingham and is one of the Biggest and well known mosques in United Kingdom

1890
Land was secured for the building of a Free Public library and used as A church by the Local Population

1893
Library was officially opened also served a meeting point for Local Christian community

1894
Land secured and approval gained for the building of the swimming pools and public baths.

1896
A well was sunk to supply water to the building, capable of supplying 8300 gallons per hour.

1897
Work commenced on building the swimming pools and public baths at a cost of £30,000.

1902
Public baths and Swimming pools were officially opened.

1940
Swimming baths were destroyed through enemy action on the night of 18 October 1940.

1951
Work commenced to rebuild the swimming baths.

1977
Public library and Swimming baths moved to new facility at Muntz Street
1979

Building acquired for use as the Mosque becaouse of Birmingham Islam.

@muazbutt it is sunnah of our prophet (SAW) to reply to a salaam. if you think that they are dead in there grave then wy do you give them salaam in durood shareef. surely a dead person cannot answer you back.... astaghfirullah you guys think that the prophet is just like one of us.. how could you think that when allah has favoured our prophet the most above us. if there are any sunni brothers out here then plz dont hesitate to fight for the prophet and defend our beliefs....

@muazbutt yo butt, i am not a grave worshipper , im a proper suni muslim devoted to islam and to allah and his messenger (SAW). this is something you havent got in your heart , just to call other muslims grave worshippers and insult us indirectly and dont even look at your own beliefs and what you think about our prophet (SAW) go take a look at a guy called murtazah khan.... he insults the prophet openly saying that they are dead in their grave! astagfirullah.

@pray2U4ever As i said already, Christian by name. lets recount the figure without counting Christians living as Atheists. Regarding conversion Islam surpasses Christianity and it is well known. "Islam is the world’s fastest-growing religion. In 1990, 935 million people were Muslims and this figure had escalated to around 1.2 billion by 2000... In the period 1990-2000, approximately 12.5 million more people converted to Islam than to Christianity” (Guinness World Records 2003, pg 102)

About one third of the total population of the planet is Christian and you call it "a barely existing religion" haha

Daily many muslims convert to christianity in islamic countries like somalia.

While these brave people know the risk of being executed... Shariah style.

We have a Golden Rule, something that is strangely missing in islam.
