Brian Wilson - "Your Imagination" Beacon '99

Another performance from Brian Wilson's Beacon NYC 1999 Concert during his first solo tour. The song "Your Imagination" is the title track from Brian's second solo studio album. It's a good example of the some of the material that doesn't get enough recognition in view of his earlyer career.

My all-time favorite Brian solo song. He may or may not have written "better" ones along the way, but this one is like a perfect, lost Beach Boys track from the peak of their career. Thanks for posting the live track...it's good to see Brian in fine form on this great song.

ABSOLUTELY AGREE, love your wording--it is indeed like discovering a time capsule from 1966 only with 1999's production values! As magnificent as his greatest music from the 60's and early 70's was, most of it was done in MONO -- unbelievable when you think about it!

@cosmokramer41 because it makes him look less useless. watch him do anything from the smile shows, and then search "jools holland brian wilson". there's a huge, awkward difference even though he's not playing anything with his hands in either performances.

@xr40 he is just faking the keyboard, playing the same chord, the volume is off on the keyboard. He had mental problems and here he cannot handle two things at once, so he is just singing, and pretending to play the piano.
