http://www.vaticancatholic.com A debate between Catholic Bro. Peter Dimond and Protestant David Moore on the issue of whether the Bible teaches justification by faith alone and eternal security. This debate has a flexible back and forth format and covers many topics. David Moore is a Protestant who studies the Bible and attempts to refute Catholic teaching from it. He produces videos, articles and materials which are dedicated to trying to disprove Catholic teaching from the Bible. He challenged us to a debate. We are traditional Catholics and our website is listed. We had a recorded debate discussion on the topic of faith alone and eternal security. The total time for the debate discussion is 1 hour and 56 minutes.

  • When David was confronted by Nathan and confessed. Immediately Nathan said God has already forgiven your sins...so thereis no indication there that he would have been lost forever had he not confessed...actually one must ask how David could NOT know what he did was wrong and repented long before Nathan had to tell him HE SINNED...I mean he would have to be very stupid not to realize his sin. It more appears to be a matter of pure Grace of God that forgave David's sins.

1What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? 2For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
