@TheGally91 Times change, that's true but you don't touch an icon, a legend! If that guy Snyder wants to turn it into a dark movie like Batman, then he's raping it! We the fans who grew up with Superman have accepted Brandon Routh as the new Superman because everything looked good in the new movie. This new suit, Clark's look, Jor-ell and what else sucks talking about originality. I hope this new film will be a big failure if they don't respect Chris.

@feetpovlover What you fail to realize is that Superman Returns was set 6 years after the last original superman movie, thats why things only changed slightly.

This is a reboot. Like batman and green lantern, The Man of steel is set in today's society so things have to change for this film to appeal to today's audience weather we want them to or not. Even the comics have moved into the modern times and superman has a new suit, which by the way is very similar to this one.

@feetpovlover It doesn't matter if he's an icon, a legend. Superman was all those things before he was put onto the silver screen. And yet in the comics they changed his appearance, powers and his suit more time then i can remember.

I don't mind them getting rid of the red trunks, I can live with that and I expected it would happen one day after they shrunk the trunks down to speedo size in 2006's Superman Returns...but the suit looks like something from 1930s Flash Gordon or Buck Rogers, and not in a good way...more cheesey futuristic way. I have a feeling this suit will look really silly and dated in 20-30 years.

@gothatway09 i doubt they'll be still using this suit in 20-30 years. and the franchise will probable be rebooted a few times before then. Sure were all gonna die at the end of 2012, you've nothing to worry about ! lol

I personally think this movie will be awesome and I love the update to the suit, you have to ask yourself the question why the hell did he wear his trunks outside his pants anyway?!

Cavill looks like a total beast and I look forward to seeing what fights have caused the streets to get fucked up.

It about time a grown man stopped wearing red underwear ontop of his tights. This movie looks awesome, I can't wait to see how Superman will be in this movie.

@TheGally91 Probably. Well, that makes it a bit better for the fans who are really still following it. But to me, it's just nog good. And it's true, everything changes a bit to follow society. But to me society it not something to follow.
