Friday evening the Mud Hens honored all law enforcement with a special Police Appreciation Night at Fifth-Third Field.

As part of the pregame ceremonies, the father and son of fallen Sandusky police officer Andrew Dunn threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Officer Dunn was killed in the line of duty March 19. His family honored his memory on the mound.

Andrew Dunn, Sr., said his grandson, 3-year-old Kaleb is the reason everyone is staying strong.

"It's tough all the time. Every day is different," he said. "Kaleb has been doing pretty good, so we're just staying close to him."

In addition to the ceremonial first pitch before the Knights-Mud Hens game, the Oregon Police Department Color Guard presented the colors.
