  • Hey girlie, I don't think they are going to let you put anything solid in your mouth or body for the first couple days. I don't know but I'm pretty sure that includes pills. Sugar or no sugar. ROFL... yeah the girls just might need some saline attention hehehe.. I know what you mean though my hubby said the same thing and DID take pictures. Lord help me. Faith, did you say you were getting the RNY or Lapband or other? I'm thinking I have to get the lapband just because of the money issue. :)

  • Thanks for the heads up on the pills... I thought of that too... I wasn't sure I would be able to have the Gas-X anyway. I guess I will just leave them at home. I am having RNY Gastric Bypass.

  • no fiesta and whatever our daughter doesnt finish of her food, and he never gains a damn pound, and he comes from a small family. Ive done enuf studying of people to know that some overweight people, do not choose to be over weight and do actually try to lose weight as have i in the past, and for some of us, it just dont happen, so there is that life line that God has thrown us called weight loss surgery that can actually help us to be normal people and give us a chance at a normal life!!

  • I know this video is old and all, but whoever says wls is the easy way out, clearly doesnt understand the view of overwight people and has probably never been over weight. I am over weight, and my mom, dad, all of my siblings and my grandparents were all over weight. Now tell me if it is truly my fault that i am over weight! From taco bell, i can only eat 1 steak casadilla. My little 135lb fiance can eat a whole # 7 w/ a soft taco, an order of grilled steak takitos w/ sour cream, 3 meximelts w/

  • LOL i am the same little miss plan and plan -my friends call me monica (friends) as i do organised fun! can never be too prepared, am so loving all your vids so far xx

  • Hi - I just found your videos. I am day 1 of my liquid diet. I think that WLS is not the easy way out. If anyone thinks that you can just go out for a run tell them to strap on an extra 100 or more pounds and lets see how they feel about just the simple things like walking up a flight of stairs. I hate it when people jump to assume that when you are big you MUST be lazy. Anyway l am looking forward to watching your journey and your future success. :0)

  • My fiance is the same on the boob front!!! Personally i cant wait for them to get smaller :)

  • WTG on staying on the liquid diet! That is amazing!!

I think the bad taste in your mouth is probably ketosis. Your body goes into ketosis when on a low-carb diet. It is also why u have so much energy. Ketosis is where you body starts burning fat for energy, because it doesn't have carbs to burn.

  • Everyone has their own path in life and we all deal with our own struggles differently. I think somewhere inside every person is the knowledge of what is best for them. Is WLS for everyone, even if they are morbidly obese? No. If you're ready to change your life and rid yourself of bad habits, that's the main thing. If you know you need help with WLS, get it. If you think you can do it on your own, do it. You know yourself best, and you know whether or not you're making the best choice.

  • hey kristen, I just went to my nutrition appointment and they gas-x strips that melted on your tongue, I was impressed and they actually suggested that we bring them to the hospital with us. Something you may have thought about, idk but you may not even be able to take them to mexico, I know when I went to cozumel, we had to stand in customs and tell them about any meds we brought or purchased, so I would hate for you to have to throw it away at customs.... when is your surgery again??
