  • must.....smoke......now

  • Winston also sponsored The Beverly Hillbillies. Some people seemed more concerned about the bad grammar in the slogan.

  • "Gimme a Winston. The spirit of the USA!"

    Does anyone remember that commercial?

  • yabba dubba cough

  • i never knew

  • Who thought this was a good idea?. I know the Flintstones where also aimed at adults, but to have a cigarette company be the sponsor of a show that attracted a young audience makes not sense. I don't think six year olds could buy cigarettes, real ones, even in those day.

  • Everybody knows they have a choice. Tobacco is BIG business.. Make money at all costs... The commercials / ads were better back in the day....

  • @Vanguard710 Hook em early, Hookem for life, haha

  • back then they didnt no how bad it was

  • @sissybearsheba they had Popeye cigarettes when I was a kid (i'm 33). Just a white candy stick with a red end. They were pretty gross. They also had the gum kind with a one shot puff of flour or powdered sugar that you could blow out the other end to simulate smoke. Fun times.
