Indie Film Financing is not what it was 10 years ago. Film financing entities no longer want to write a check for a great project. You must put a package together. Distributed by Tubemogul.

  • You don't want to make a movie until you know it can be sold - as in has a distribution deal in place or a pretty darn solid shot at it. Too many films are in the graveyard by those that didn't find out if there was a market for their film. You do this by sending your project to distribution companies and asking them what they think. Some will tell you, others won't care. Just part of the game.

Film festivals are used for marketing purposes. Many levels to that as well.

  • Thanks for the informative video on film financing!

  • if an investor was to say give me 1 million to make a movie ... how would i get it distributed once i have made it or going to make it? would i contact a distributor or do i send it to film festivals?
