I remember this song from 1966, I was a freshman in college then. This song will always be one of my favorites.

Pozo Seco means 'dry hole" in Spanish.  Them being from Corpus Christi, Texas, they probably got the name from the many dry holes drilled around C.C.

I remember this GREAT song--1966,
1st grade, played over/over again on Demand Radio 79—KTHT (AM), Houston--later learned the 2nd most listened to station for Houston/south Texas at the time. Knowing theyre from Corpus, that constant airplay from up-the-road Space City obviously helped propel Pozo Seco from Texas to Top 40 national charting.

Now that I am in my fifties, my kids are grown, and my parents both gone, i understand this song which came out when I was barely a teenager....
