  • All I see is Michael Fassbender.

  • @JoshuaWGLloyd Everybody knows the facts were wrong. But the point is NOT that, I dont care it is the Roman Empire or the Troyan. I'm an 18-year-old Hungarian and give a shit on what happend to the ninth legion. The point is, when i watch a movie like this I get a bit of more motivation to fight for my pourpose (eg my future). As I see this is not about histroy, this is about the future. I want to wish everybody a good luck who think about his future and can fight for it.

  • @ropuchK HAHA I was looking for this comment when I heard it.

  • IT'S A TRAP!!!

  • @regil93 I'm talking about citizenship. There is no reason why a black man shouldn't gain citizenship after beeing freed from slavery. Most slaves gained that privilege, especially if they had domines that cared for their future (because even as freedmen and citizens, they still had to work for their former domines.. look at the patronus - cliens circle).

My point: no, in that era it's not unlikely for a black man to become a roman legionary. Not at all.

  • @416BRAND buy the blu ray stupid

  • @Kathrinoyo once you gained your freedom you didn't became a roman citizen, and the difference between roman citizens and non romans wasn't only the reputation they had different rights also.

  • Oh what have those Scots done now, oh wiped out one of Rome's most notoriouse armies oh thats no biggy after all scottish people are hardened loonatics!!

  • @MrBuLlEt HAHAHAHAHA i think the same you xD

  • @jackwei22 we already know. Fact is, romans brought slaves from africa - another fact is, that it was common to free slaves and the third fact: as soon as you became freed and gained roman citizenship, you were a roman, no matter what. Yes, there were sort of a difference between "city-romans" and "non-city-romans" but the were'nt ethnical. City-romans just had a higher reputation.

Anyway, its not even doubtable that there could've been black romans, especially in the later empire.

  • i miss Gladiator. :D
