Chris, Flyscooters Technician teaches you step by step how to take apart a carburetor, clean it, and put it back together. It is a quintessential video for anyone who want to know exactly what carburetor cleaning is all about. --Fly Team

  • very sloppy though, screws ropping everywhere how do u remember whats what ?

  • My boats motor has 6 cylinders and the two bottom cylinders aren't working what can I do

  • A lot of mechanics use power tools. Especially flat-rate mechanics. Time is money! Ever replace bulldozer track pads with hand tools? (most everybody is asking "what's track pads?")

  • I only watched about 30 seconds of this. What I saw tells me this dude knows what he is doing, just by the clean, well lit work area. golfcartractor should take note. I think he finally gave up 'cause his videos are all gone. FCC may have shut him down due to his profanity. Anyway, flyscooters, it's refreshing to see someone who seems to know what he is doing instead of other people who haven't a clue, yet post these "how to" videos in scroungy, dank, filthy garages.

  • @supagog It seems that carb clean has affected you. Or do you normally type that way? (lack of caps, poor spelling, rotton punctuation, etc.)

  • @lucky51762

Screws are the least of the concern, those can be retapped. Overtorqueing and not following a proper tighten sequence is the primary cause of damage to carb's. I dont see a issue with using a power drill when it comes to removeing the main bolts and screws. But would never suggest using one to put them back in.

  • damn ...one more year in college and you could have worked on real bikes not scooters...when your 50 people will call you scooter chris ...not harley chris

  • thank you. with your vid, I fixed the carb nearly instantly. I ALWAYS dreaded carburetors.

  • I think using a electric screw driver on the carbs is a sure way to strip screws.

Also when you remove the pilot jet look through it to see if you can see daylight through the small hole. That is a large percentage of the problem many times.

  • Good video, I hope your only using the drill for the video. I've seen lazy people before, but... WOW.

Bet you complain about "cheap bolts and screws striping out" all the time huh?
