Do not spend money on expanding Brooks. Brooks is supposed to be a temporary facility, and if 40 kennels are built the city will renew its lease. Instead of funding more killing, these funds should go towards support of a high volume rescue partner to increase the live release rate of animals in our community. The result is more strays off the streets like the voters want, but the plan is more fiscally responsible and humane than expanding Brooks.
