Such a poignant song for all times! Great track with Chaka singing and the musicians capturing the sound of Motown. My idol, Jaco Pastorius, tipped his hat to James Jamerson as an influence on his style.

@4s2work Marvin wanted to work with Quincy, and the feeling was mutual. Quincy once said that his biggest regret in music is never having worked with Marvin. Although he did a nice cover of 'What's Going On' on his 'Smackwater Jack' album in the early 70's.

I like the the announcer's voice in the beginning.

This is an amazing moment in the documentary, Standing in the Shadows of Motown. The Funk Brothers sound exactly like they did on the record(s)... they are incomparable. See this film on Google videos if you're a Motown fan. It will enlighten and thrill you!

This is the most informative music documentary I've ever watched. I highly recommend it!

Maybe the coolest intro I ever saw... acknowledging the departed, as well as the present...
