Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, appearing on the June 10, 2007, edition of "Meet The Press," reiterated and expanded on his claim that he was misled by unknown forces in the intelligence community who failed to reveal vital information to him before his infamous February 5, 2003, speech before the United Nations proclaiming proof of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction (WMD) programs.

Although Colin Powell did mislead the UN in his speech, he was given shitty information beforehand. I've been watching a lot of documentaries on the conflict lately, and it has become clear that Powell was one of the most level-headed about the war (believe it or not). Before giving his UN speech he periodically questioned the information and was reassured again and again of its legitimacy.
