Protesters marched in Vienna's city centre Friday evening to denounce the WKR Ball, one of many events that make up Vienna's traditional ball season but one also that has repeatedly drawn controversy for its far-right links. This year's event was especially criticised as it took place on International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. Among the guests at the ball were the leader of Austria's far-right Freedom Party Heinz Christian Strache and France's Front National chief Marine Le Pen.Duration: 01:18

A group of Conservatives and traditionalists hold their annual ball in Vienna and a bunch of frothing-at-the-mouth Communists, self-proclaimed anti-fascists, and assorted leftist loudmouths show up and try to prevent people they don't agree with from having a good time calling everyone a Nazi. Their main target is H.C. Strache, head of the conservative FPO, who threaten the power grip of the Socialist political establishment in Austria.
