This video was created back in the summer of 2007 when I flew on my JAA Commercial Pilots Licence skills test. The test was taken in a twin engined Piper Seminole at Orlando Flight Training.

Since passing this test I have since become a flight instructor teaching others how to fly. I have recently created a study guide for the JAA Private Pilots Licence called PPL made easy. You can find this study guide at:

PPLme.co.uk

Best of luck with your flight training!

  • I noticed you're wearing epaulets during your checkride. Were you in some kind of academy?

  • @pqwilrj Not really, just a flight school that was very strict on students wearing a uniform. Jeans and tshirt were a strict no lol.

  • Hey Alister, Paul from OBA here. I got a surprise when I say your name as the poster, that's so cool. Well done mate a true professional.

  • Cheers bud appreciate the comment. How are the ATPL's going?

  • Be great if you could repost with no music, just commentary. Since apparently you're making too much money off this artist's creations. Again I would like to thank the fucks art WMG for taking care of all the criminals out here.

  • @theodoroscristou In the UK and most other places in the world we call it a commercial pilots licence. It is mainly the US which refers to it as a certificate.

  • congratz on passing :), how much did it cost you to get your CPL? and, are you going on to get your ATPL? fly for britosh airways :P?

  • yay for you passing:-)

  • how much time you have to fly? And CONGRATS!

  • Very nice nice.... :) I'm going for my PPL, (Private Pilots License *Canada*) And hopefully will make it to this point someday. Nice display of skill.

  • @traineepilot57 Depends on the severity of the mistake. For example forgetting to set trim during pre-takeoff would generally result in him asking you to taxi home as it's an "undesired aircraft state" gotta love TEM management

Any time the safety of the aircraft is compromised and the candidate doesn't respond quickly and effectively or intervention is required generally results in a fail.

But If you get off track during your nav it's ok, as long as you correct. a few minor mistakes are ok

  • Hi,I have a question, im not entirely sure you could anwser but here goes. I very badly want to be a pilot for the love of flight, however i have whats knows a mild cerebal pausy, affecting my right arm hand- to elabortate this means i have a lowered dexterity and strength in that hand. however i can complete tasks such as driveing, playing guitar, swiming, lifting, i hold a paraglider liscence.i can turn knobs/pull levers just not as pretty as you. would that get me a medical pass/ green light?

  • good job mate! What are you up to these days?

  • Is that a baron

  • If you made a mistake, what would happen? Will the instructor command you to circle back and retry or start all over again from the start(Land and do it on another day) ?

  • @NikySportsPromotion its a piper
