  • It's tiny!

  • Collins TCS-12!!! As a very young man, our old radio club used to have one of those complete with a 12V Dynamotor set for portable use. I also personally owned both a TCS receiver and transmitter. Pair of 1625's on CW, shut down one filament and modulated one PA with two more on AM

  • This is so cool! i got visit some ships down town when they have open house and have a peek at what they use..

  • Many thanks for this video! I've been aboard the COD many times back in the 1980's, when I lived in Cleveland! One can only imagine the activities of the 80 sailors on board during WWII, and the point of contact that radio room was with the rest of the world! Just think how much HEAT the vacuum tubes must have contributed to this highly confined area, especially when transmitting messages! Again, Thanks!
