Battle is where the battle of 1066 took place! This was the Battle Bonfire (our Guy Fawkes night) not for a Halloween celebration and yes we blow lots of stuff up, this effigy took six weeks to build so you have to make it worthwhile!

It's coming up on Guy Fawkes Night (Nov 5th), so a lot of stuff gets blown up around this time of year. If anyone's wondering whether Battle got its name from a battle... yup: it's close to Hastings. 1066 and all that.
