Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp 2008

My time as a Blue Lake camper during session II of 2008!

Located in West Michigan near Muskegon, Blue lake is a beautiful place to spend a few weeks developing and sharpening one's craft. I would highly encourage any high school or middle school age student to check it out!

The bossa nova jam in the background is a tune called "Angela" (after all the times our instructor would jokingly improvise songs about one of the trombone players in the Gold Jazz group) and is written by Evan Mercer and myself (Blake Morgan). The recording was made at the end of session II 2008 for our concert.

The middle of the video contains a short video of my counselor and friend - Joe Scheller - doing a full vocal siren without breaking or flipping to falsetto. He doesn't even sing.

The end of the video is a nice surprise from my cabin mates.

Oh. My. Gosh. You guys are too funny! XD I'm hoping to go to Blue lake next summer, and I was expecting to see some documentary type thing.....yeah.....not a documentary.... lol But it was good to see some pictures of your experience. Thanks!
