As much as I love LUNA SEA, I love X aswell. Without hide, LUNA SEA would never be discovered. Have you listened to ART OF LIFE by X?
Both are really great bands, I don't think you can compare them to eachother, very different sound...

@tenchuww I have to admit you have a point, the visual style is a bonus, as is the genre (Dir en grey's earlier stuff being the VK style both in sound and look) hell, I like An Cafe's Oshare Kei stuff like Gokutama Rock Cafe/ Magnya Carta, but I don't like SuG or LM.C even though they are same "style"

Very different than X indeed and while both are good bands, I'd say Luna Sea was putting out better music more consistently. X slowed down pretty hard at the end of their career and I really think Luna Sea could have made it without their help. They were signed and discovered by them but that talent is all Luna Sea.
