but you can't sit their and not think their the worlds best dancers. because we have a lot of incredible dancers in this world, so to me, you can't say 1 couple or 1 person is the best in the entire world. no such think.. Ive seen better than these two couples. sorry but if you wanna talk about someone being perfect than someone else, your sending the wrong message to viewers.

@XtremeDance10 In any competitive sport, the athletes involved use ranking points and competition results to determine who's the best. Franco and Oksana won their claim to the title of world champions and that makes them officially the "world's best." If others think they are better but aren't willing or able to prove it in the arena of competition, then they don't get the title. It's as simple as that. All competitive ballroom dancers know these basic rules of competition.

@XtremeDance10 I should also mention that this was dated some 7 years ago. Times have changed and there have been better couples since, but that doesn't negate the fact that these two were the world's best at that point in time.

well what's wrong with commenting on costumes?..I'm sure we'll all seen some some ppl dressed like a christmas tree on the floor..whitout mentioning names here!.I think as with everything, there is good taste in costumes and the opposite. As a dancer I think that's fair comment!...

Yes, you're absolutely right. Costumes do matter and they may deserve to be commented on. Maybe Thea's comment would have been less glaring if she had said "she shows great taste in costumes." On the other hand, I saw her in one competition where she was wearing what looked like Playboy bunny ears, which looked really out of place, so I don't think Nikiforova "always" showed the best of taste. But usually her costumes have been superior.

I know this couple was the best and if they had to compete am. again and do it together all over again they would still be on top. You cannot argue and say there are/has been better couples because as world ranking am there hasn't! This is the ONLY and I repeat, ONLY couple to win Blackpool am latin from 02-04, also to win the IDSF 3 yrs in a row. No other am has ever had that success even to date.

I disagree. Generally her costumes have been in the bottom of the finals. And the playboy bunny ears are from GOC 2005 or 2004 IIRC.

@ProDancer6 I was replying to a comment placed here and they mentioned her feet not being good so I was replying to that comment, saying her feet are perfect and she moves them how they should be moved.

It's not just about her feet.. she is a really good latin dancer.. She has good hip action. nice straightened legs with ankles too.. shes has a flexible back.. So i don't understand why your saying shes good because she knows how to usse her feet...

Franco wouldnt of become Amateur champion without her.
