Emotional Freedom Technique is a simple acupressure technique for releasing negative feelings.

You feel negative feelings in the body, so you have to go to the body to work on them.

You can release a negative feeling right now with this video. Tapping is a very effective method for curing Procrastination - the only reason you put off doing things is that you have negative associations with doing them.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How hard should I tap?
A: Tap lightly, just so that you feel it. The purpose of the tapping is to bring your attention to different parts of your body, it actually works if you just imagine tapping - as long as your attention is drawn to the right points.

Q: How can I be sure I am finding the right points?
A: Use two fingers to make sure you cover the points. Sometimes the point will 'feel' right, as if there is a slight indent in the skin or the point is particularly sensitive. It's all connected so you don't have to be 100% accurate.

Q: You have missed out points that Gary Craig teaches!
A: Yes. Feel free to tap those too, I left them out to keep the video simple and it seems to work fine without them. If you find the video doesn't work for you, try tapping the additional points - around the top-middle of the head, and just under the armpit.

Q: Is the sequence important?
A: No. You can tap the points in any order. In fact you only need to tap one or two of the points for each particular feeling. It's just you have no easy way to know which point so you might as well tap them all.

Q: I am a skeptic! / You are a charlatan!
A: Thanks. Tapping is perfectly explainable scientifically but it does go beyond most people's understanding. It really does work though, and the best way to prove that to yourself is to try it and watch your negative feelings disappear.

Also this video shows use of an electro-acupuncture pen to show that the points have a different electrical resistence to other parts of the body:

  • i was really putting myself in to my past.

after doing this session i got sick and felt very bad, my body temp went up.

    is this ok?

why do i fill so bad?

  • Hey, that can happen, and it's a good sign - things are shifting. Whatever symptoms come up, tap them away. "Even though I feel sick..." "Even though I feel very bad..." "Even though my body temp is up..."

  • NO matter how much you use this technique, it will not work if you have no desire or motivation or inspiration to do something. I tried it on homework, but it doesn't help...because i have no motivation or desire to do homework...

  • This may be true, or it may be that you have to go a little deeper. Try talking yourself into the homework - make a list of all the reasons why you might want to do it. Then look for conflicting beliefs and tap those "Even though I have no motivation" or "Even though I have no desire".

  • Hey.. i did this process a few times ... i feel a little diffrent but still procrastinate ... should i rather stick with the process or change the way of doing it ?

  • For sure. As long as you can find negative feelings associated with doing the thing - or excuses or thoughts - tap them away.

It does take persistence! Basically repeat the tapping until you feel like doing whatever it is you are procrastinating.

  • please give specific examples of the feelings causing underlying procrastination.

  • Thank you for posting these videos.

I've done tapping a few times and each time I feel a mild lightheadedness / euphoria. Is this normal?

  • i find at the very least it works temporarily and if i can make myself do it more then maybe it will have a permanent affect.

  • If you are feeling even worse than you did in the beginning this is probably because you have years of suppressed emotions locked away. Keep "tapping" and be patient with your self. It may take many more sessions before you begin to see positive results.

  • Thank you. You have a nice presence.

  • it works for real thanks bud

  • Hypnotic, I like your voice sir.

  • totally works :P
