I think you would be rather hard pressed to find a range in the UK that rents guns to whoever shows up.

In my experience 99% of ranges are only rented out to clubs. None of this GTA gun shop rubbish.

Most clubs tend to have a club gun that members can use though.

Clay shoots are a different matter though, there are companies that do them all over but there is a huge legal difference between a rifle and a shotgun, pistols of course unless blackpowder are illegal in the UK.
