bacillus thuringiens has very minimal toxicity to humans, the safety policy for aerial operations requires closing the Cascades Recreation Area on the mornings of the aerial spraying.
Let's close down the city? lol

Spraying insecticide over an urban area, I assume the chemical is non-toxic?
We used to spray near urban areas in Australia to kill mosquitos. What is cankerworm? I assume its a vegetation inhabiting pest? At a little over a litre/acre would be ULV?

The material used was Foray 48B, a certified organic insecticide. Active ingredient is Bacillus thuringiens var kurstaki, as opposed to Bti used for mosquitos.
Fall Cankerworm is a geometrid larvae, also referred to as inch worms or loopers. This particular insect feeds on oak foliage.
Insecticide was applied undiluted at a rate of 12 BIU/ac (quart/acre or 2.3 liter/ha, very much ULV.
