Male Urinary Catheterisation

I severed my urethra of the prostate and ripped my bladder in half after my pelvis was crushed. I have had numerous foley and suprapubic catheters.....because I had a suprapubic for so long I devolped a golf ball size bladder stone. I will NEVER be catheterized again in any way. These fucked up primitive devises should only be use if there is no other option. They do more harm than good. If you can pass urine, don't get this done!

OUCH!!! I wish I won't do that I'll rather wear a diaper than that!

This is not correct.
you have to change your glove when you touch the cv. if you touch the penis skin, you are not sterile. after you have touched the cv. in this way you can cause infection.
(Sorry but I don't speak English very well!)

Now at 26 the right hand massages the urethra wile the left holds the pisser then at 56 the same right finger comes in contact with the catheter being pushed in. So why is it proper to use non contaminated glove at this point.

you're absolutely right!!! OMG...hopefully you don't work on *real* patients you're gonna kill somone :O

Are you awake when they do this? and is this a dummy or a real person because if its a real person i feel sorry for them!
-
wait....why am i watching this??

i thought you were not allowed to let go of the penis once you had it in your hand as that means that it is now the unsterile hand... and aren't you suppose to put the bag on the tube before you put the catheter in so you can check urine out put?? and then fill the balloon?? Good Vid tho!! thanks alot!!

She removes the plastic foil of the catheder package WITH her STERILE GLOVES, becomes unsteril and continues???
Where was that TOUGHT...as it is completley WRONG

This is completely wrong.
There's no way you have your instruments to be sterile like that and lay down on your sterile sheet.
Your blister aint sterile and when you put in a catheter you must always have at least 1 hand sterile.
In this vid you de-sterilise both your hands multiple times.
The beginning was ok, but when you open the case of the catheter with both hands, you de-sterilise it with your right hand.
Now this is how people get infections !
i am apprehensive about it, i am soon going to be on the receiving end of it... i never felt anything when i was doing it to the patients.. now that i have to face it, i feel numb already, think i will ask them so that they let me do it to myself...hey, is that possible?

The nurse or whoever could teach you, if you are going to have 'intermitant catheters'. It is uncomfortable, apart from self harmers and IV drug addicts...it is difficult inflicting pain on youself. It's not always straight forward plumbing
