HOLY smokes!!!! I can't believe these are alive! I remember watching this when I was 10-11 years old, sorry to sound emotional but this has brought a tear to my eyes, remember watching BBC World when I was young! Aah BBC World how much I love this channel!

omg.. what a memories! For me, these breakfiller musics were the best ever used by BBC World.
I remember that, in addition to those already present in this video, there was one more about Finance (maybe Exchange rate & Commodities rate) that I liked a lot.. Someone remember this one? Or better, have a REC of this one :D In case, post it! ;)

Sometimes I find it similar to World Business Report music :)

Keshini Navaratnam was wonderful and far more professional than Manisha Tank or say Dharshini David. I believe she's now a consultant.

@channel4squares Yes, they are mostly inserted by the rebroadcasters e.g. cable companies, but some are for the whole network.

Many thanks for posting. It's perhaps silly to be nostalgiac for a news theme but I maintain a specific fondness for this music. In the late 1990s I took a job which required a good bit of international travel and BBC World was a reliable companion whilst recovering from travel in the hotel rooms of Europe.

The bit from 40-50 sec sounds a bit like the current breakfiller

Both David Lowe and the flags music composer were fantastic.
