ECBC's George Noya and Carrie Poore, Ph.D., discuss the capabilties and applications of the Biological Assessment Mobile Laboratory (BAML). The objective and design concept of this project is for ECBC to develop and fabricate a biological assessment mobile laboratory for shipboard analysis that can be lifted by a crane onto the host vessel, be easily set-up and operated, and provide a sustained presence for analytical analysis. The biological combat assessment system (BCAS) mobile laboratory will receive and perform the initial analysis of the CA-UAV samples upon CA-UAV recovery to the ship and recovery of the samples.
