Colt had a great career at UH, I hope he can translate that into a fruitful NFL career as well. His accuracy is one of the best that I have seen at any level. For those that feel he has a candy arm, check out the video at the 7:45 mark, he stands at the 45 and hits Jason Rivers in stride near the back of the end zone.

I love Colt Brennan I felt that he should have won the Heisman in 2006 I mean 5549 yards passing and 58 touchdowns thats ridiculous even if you do pass 90% of the time. But being in a Run & Shoot offense will only take a team and a quarterback so far. Thats why many Run & Shoot quarterbacks such as Colt Brennan, David Klingler, Timmy Chang, and others never pan out in the NFL

Part of the run and shoot (which should be called shoot and run) is having the slot receivers run short patterns. The highlights show that Brennan had a lot of time, and for the most part he had a decent amount of time. However, a lot of completions are also timing patterns and plays that require a QB to go through progressions and decision making quickly. Having time holds true for ANY QB in any league. Even the best cannot do much without protection.

@generatorx Yeah! but he made those reads with wide open receivers and short completions for the most part. Also, he was never really pressured.

BTW, you only mess with a QB's arm motion if it hinders performance or it becomes a health issue. It is much like messing with a pitcher's release for the sole reason that it does not look good; not a good idea.
