@TheWeirdWorldofGuy you are hilarious. america only gives full auto weapons to soldiers who they consider disciplined and who are support gunners and infantry get burst/single shot weapons. disciplined would be Green berets, Navy seals, Army rangers anybody who went through any SF training. they only trust disciplined because they can control emotions unlike an infantry soldier who would unload a clip just because the enemy maybe wounded or killed their fellow soldier

@Ekcyboo this is a HK model which is based on the HK416
-
Oh, look ! Americans learned about full-auto ! How cute.
Europe - Full-Auto, all day, every day.
-
soo all it is is a better m4 on full auto?
-
ffs stop wasting budget on new weapons
mp7a1 for close range
hk416 for universal
sr25 sniper
-
Lol it appears they want people to think the m4 is extremely hot after like 15 slow shots. That barrel wasn't that hot.
-
It's an assault rifle. That is NOT a proper replacement for a belt-fed SAW.

@FallFromGrac3 Not exactly, there's about 8,000–10,000 M249s will remain in service. also there's 450 M27 IAR's still testing. but my only main concern for the IAR weapon system is the loss of Suppressive Fire, which is what most Machine Guns have. but there's already M16s and M4s that can be modified like an IAR.
-
Sooo they're replacing a LMG with an AR? :S

@sniperRobert No....you have the same as the saw....extended mag....and increased reliability....and full auto.....
Future Weapons might as well be H&K's publicity channel...

Looks like a good weapon for squad support, but I can't help but think it wouldn't be nearly as good as the M249 in situations that call for more serious suppressive fire. And I'm not just talking about the 30 rounds mags (which could easily be replaced with 100-rounds Beta C-Mags, for example).
