The Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) is a global network of central banks and policymakers in over 60 developing countries. AFI provides its members with the tools and resources to share, develop, and implement their knowledge of financial inclusion policies that work. AFI held its first Global Policy Forum in Nairobi, Kenya from 14-16 September 2009 where 100 policymakers from 40+ countries came together to exchange their successes in areas such as agent banking, mobile phone banking, state bank reform, consumer protection, financial identity, and diversifying beyond microfinance into insurance and savings.

This clip aired on CTV on 14 September 2009 at 21.34 and features statements given at the forum by Raila Odinga, Prime Minister of Kenya; Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance; Professor Njuguna Ndungu, Governor, Central Bank of Kenya and AFI Steering Committee Member; and Alfred Hannig, Executive Director, AFI.
