I have a problem with my laptop. Everything is fine when i start up and i can use my laptop perfectly fine and everything is good until i click switch user at which point the screen goes black and it wont change. I have to turn it off and back on again to be able to use it. All of the lights are on but the screen is just black. Any suggestions? thanks(:

It's a good troubleshooting check list. Maybe my Toshiba A305 had failure on motherboard. System power on. Leds lights up. Fans ok. NO hdd led activity. (Neither on a usb key led) DVD drive initialising. (ok) No beep. No display. (light or image) Memory, hdd, wifi, modem removed... no luck no change. Any idea what's broken on motherboard?

@radudorurus could be a thousand things mate, just replace the board. have you had a look on external monitor? if you have and there is no image or faint light, then replace board.

can someone help me i have a acer aspire 5755 and when im watching youtube or playing a game like rumble fighters or something it will just die out on me the screen will go black then i have to force shut it down then i turn it back on and it will be fine also the 4 led lights on my laptop the one with the disks stacked up always goes always goes black as the screen goes black and its almost always blinking someone please HELP

@ADragonsFear thats your problem there, your graphics chip isn't upto it, and been probably fried, my advice to you is if you want to play games buy a desktop.

i have a satellite c655 and the screen will turn on on the laptop but the picture is pink blue and it is shaking the image up and down and thing there

The screen is just Black I turn it on and the lights on the keyboard and the fans start working but there is no picture
