I feel ashamed that Australia, through it's various governments, has allowed this to continue, but at the same time very proud that I am a supporter of GetUp! and that we're finally achieving some real grass roots politics.

We are honored to have such courageous, beautiful and intelligent people like these refugees in Australia.

Some of the people who comment here are so filled with hatred and at the same time so little character that to them a couple of dollars is more important than helping their fellow human beings. it's people like them that are the ones destroying what is beautiful about Australian culture, at the same time selling out their own ancestors who came here seeking a better world.
