i know all of you guys dont even see this any more but you all have to remember he has been marching bari and he is just not used to the toungue transition from slide to valves which if any of you have tried is quite difficult to master if your not used to it. beside that you can tell trobone is not his main instrument because he lack the fluid sound the trombone gives he has way to hard a accent and it sounds like the slide is doing slurs into each note though his lip trills are good
-
Well, apparently he was good enough at playing trombone, baritone, and/or euphonium to get into Cavies.
And David is pretty hard to play. Not a Carnival of Venice or Flight of the Bumblebee, but still difficult.

do you even play trombone?

i thought they didnt have trombones in the cavaliers

Any instrument is allowed in I&E. Individual and Ensemble competitions have always been more loose on rules. Flutes, clarinets, you name it, are all allowed.
