It was great times. But like all of us we hated it. The experience was magnificent, don't get me wrong. I'm proud to have served but it wasn't worth it the benefits are hardly enough. I've heard stories of some men not even getting paid, and they go back because they cant afford to stay where they are.

It's tough being away from home, and away from all your friends. you're forced to make friends with other people in order to survive from almost literally dying of boredom. If your put in that position you have no choice but to resort to your old childlike behaviour. it's like hanging out with a bunch of kids. and its FUN. I remember we'd collect insects and see who could have the largest collection. and one of my friends stole my beetle and thought i wouldnt notice
