@SirChubblesSteen This is an exercise. I guess they use some "fast gunpowders (I don't know how to translate "poudre vive" in English) to not wear out the barrel.
-
Apparently it's become quite popular with Nato forces in Afghanistan, with a couple of countries taking interest. The TRF 1 155 mm (its little brother) can actually move and fire on it's carrier, although at very slow speeds.

@chenoir you don't understand lol : all unfrench stuff is ever more than ... more more more ... more dick hair ? ...
just a stupid comment from stupid web-child
comme on dit chez nous : comme d'hab ...

It can't be much more automatic, it's the same informatic program we sold to the swedish.
-
Why is it so quite? For 155mm I wad expecting quite a BOOM..
-
The Archer system from the Swedish / English guys seems to be more automatic.
But I'm not sure it already enters in service
-
I know, and yeah it's better.
But it's just not like it should be.
Artillery is big, goes boom and shakes.

It's got to be the... calmest Howitzer i've ever seen. When it fires a shot it's just so stable and pure.
I guess i just like regular stuff too much.
The more stable the gun, the more accurate the round and less adjustment for putting more rounds down range.
As much as Im "iffy" about the French, they did invent the modern land based arty system.
