Recording i made with a mobil phone.It is a well known number station and it can be heard many hours a day on many diferent frequencies in the HF band.73 30ir103-Antonio
I have aslo be listening to some strange sounds in some radio transmisions,but that is something completley diferend from that one.I hear also some countries to sound like india i think! One time i remember that i hear a realy strange sound like a continued music sound or something.
BTW, a number station referred to as 'The Lincolnshire Poacher' was traced (via radio signal detection) to Akrotiri (an RAF base in Cyprus) and is alledged to have been operated by SIS (MI6).
All you need to pick up the majority of the 'number stations' is a Shortwave (SW) Radio, you certainly DO NOT need to spend £300. The whole idea being that an inconspicuous SW radio is not going to raise any suspicion and a decent SW radio can be had in the UK for about £50.
Numberstations are sending out coded messages. You need a specific key to unlock the message. This key is used only once to make it harder for the listeners to guess the message that is sent out. Most likely the messages is orders to the agents in field. They have a number series that represent them. That series is transmitted several times for the agents to hear it before the coded message is sent. That's all I know. You can find more on wikipedia by searching "Number stations".
You need a Ham tranceiver yes. Second hand you are looking at about 300 quid. There is no point in getting a radio just to listen to this because the content of this video is pretty much all you get.
@MidoriFan10 Israeli government, actually.

Forget it, we will never know and its probably nothing as exciting as you think.
Very creepy though. especially if you listen to it at 3am under a dim light.
