There is no secret ballot, the union election is held on the employers property, employers hire law firms and consultants to identify pro-union workers fire them illegally, monitor body language during interviews and hold captive audiences. Keep in mind this is firing workers for joining a union-something that is perfectly legal.
Just search "secret ballot in name only" right here on you tube. Or read the book "confessions of a union buster".

more union thugs are work here. this is just another way to get to our hard earned dollars by the unions. Employees should have a right to join a union and a right not to join a union. I don't want the union thugs telling me i have to join a union or else. I know what the unions do. they break your car windows and slash you tires. by order of the union rep, they stabbed a friend of mine with an icepick because he crosed the union strike line to work and be able to feed his family. THUGS!!!

Thanks for your good work in Washington Senator.
EFCA would simply add a fourth choice for workers seeking to form a union. The legislation would require the NLRB to certify a union representative if a majority -- more than half -- of workers sign authorization cards in favor of the union.

MYTH: EFCA will prevent the use of secret-ballot elections.
REALITY: EFCA does not strip workers of their right to choose a secret-ballot election to decide whether to select -- or not to select -- a union representative. EFCA simply gives workers the additional option of selecting a union representative by majority sign-up.
Under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), there are three ways for workers to form a union:
