Wow! So much Cosette hate in the comments! I used to really hate her, but then I realized she never did anything wrong. She didn't make Marius fall in love with her and take him away from Eponine. In reality, Eponine probably never had a chance because back then men looked for more delicate and lady-like women. Eponine is too tough and street-smart. Besides, Cosette is just too innocent and sheltered to purposely do harm to anyone. She really is sweet....

i just finished reading the book . Maruis talks to eponine and forms a friendship during his months of stalking cosette. even in eponines death he doesn't care, he leaves ponine lying ont he pavement to go read cosettes letter. but victor hugo gave eponine a beautiufl death becasue throughout the book she wasn't that pretty but as she was dying and asked Marius to stay wiht her, shes finally pretty in his eyes faintly pretty but at the mention of a letter form cosette, hes a jerk again.

'Dagger in me' That's probably the best i've heard, from any Eponine!

@Xanaphia96 I always hoped that Marius would realize what a jerk Cosette is and end up with Eponine. But... *cries* EPONINE!!!!!! WHYYYYY??????

@iloveyou1997jd I wondered that, too. They probably chose the best actresses for Cosette and Young Cosette and didn't worry about what they looked like because that doesn't really matter. I saw a version at the Kennedy Center and Young Eponine was white. Eponine was African American. Despite that, it was still great.

@iloveyou1997jd She was forced to dye it because of how they're always on the run? xD

I like this Cosettes voice, and eponines is nice but she needs to take out her vibrator, she doesn't have like Cosette does, that's true because I am an eponine fan

I personally love immature childish Cosettes, because it really let's you understand how she's been sheltered, whereas eponine has not been sheltered at all.

@CottonBlossom1 Judy Kuhn is my favorite Cosette!
-
@ironbutterflyx3 Agreed. What made Judy Kuhn such a memorable Cosette was the maturity she brought to the role. I think the fact that Kuhn was nominated for a Tony for playing Cosette proves that there's gold in the role, but unfortunately, few actresses since Kuhn have been able to find it.
I can't get myself to care about the Cosette/Marius relationship. All I can watch in that scene is Eponine. Poor girl.

I keep hoping that Marius would gain common sense and fall for Éponine instead. But the ending is always the same.....*sniff
