World-renowned Medical Cannabis Research expert Dr. Robert Melamede has a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the City University of New York. Dr. Melamede is a retired Chairman of the Biology Department at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in 2005, where he continues to teach and research cannabinoids, cancer, and DNA repair. Dr. Melamede is recognized as a leading authority on the therapeutic uses of cannabis, and has authored or co-authored dozens of papers on a wide variety of scientific subjects. Dr. Melamede's current focus is on integrating far from equilibrium thermodynamic physics with the biology of life and health and the unique evolutionary role played by the endocannabinoid system in these processes. Dr. Melamede also serves on the Editorial Board of The Journal of the International Association for Cannabis as Medicine, the Scientific Advisory Board of Americans for Safe Access, Sensible Colorado, Scientific Advisor for Cannabis Therapeutics as well as a variety other of state dispensaries and marijuana patient advocacy groups. Dr. Melamede frequently serves as an expert witness in cannabis-related trials. Dr. Melamede's testimony was critical in the recent trial of growers for the Vancouver Island Compassion Society that resulted Canadian Court's ruling that their current medical marijuana laws were unconstitutional.

I didn't vote for Obama in 08, but if he legalizes cannabis, I will happily vote for him in 2012.

Because Cannabis provides freedom.Imagine a plant that gives you health, superior food, plastics,cloths, cars, paper, isolation material, houses, rope,fuel (ethanol, methanol,oil),medicines against e.g. cancer (for crying out loud).The current business model of our society is to mine rare stuff in order to have the best part of the deal.Largely implemented by Rockefeller. I think we should all seriously look into the fact that the BIRTH CERTIFICATE is actually a 'person' in legal terms, which means corporate entity.. NOT A LIVING BEING. The controlled drugs and substances act is applied to 'persons' operating in the corporation of CANADA. We can choose to represent this PERSON or represent yourself as a sovereign, with a family name, no LAST NAME. We can grow, distribute, smoke, vape, produce goods, create a new world. WOW i've been listening to this man talk for sometime now aswell as doing my own research into this subject, and plenty more. Cannabis is the best medicine for the mind, body, soul, environment. I can prove that the creator must of done this. The mayan calendar is a divine plan for the transformation of consciousness, oct, 28/2011 is the actual end date. I really want to believe him about the canaboid system controlling those specific functions, but i have never heard of this. Is it true? If so, how can a person tell they don't have the "proper machinery" to consume cannabis for beneficial effects?
