Deadly forest fires in Greece.

The video is taken from the road Kalamata - Tripolis, in Peloponnese, Southern Greece

A lot of people claim that the fires (up to now, 63 dead people) were due to the governments inability to coordinate the national services (Army, Air Force, Fire Brigade).

The government claims that the fires were some kind of a terrorist plan.

Thank you for your help. Hellas is in a very difficult period, more than 140 villages are ashes and the damage is more than 5 billion euro. Thank you for the helicopter, it saved many villages and lives. Thank you all countries who send help to us. We are of great need of aid.

Romania is along side with you. On Monday 27 august 2007 the Ministery of Interior and Administrative Reform( MIRA) sent a MI 17 helicopter( crew: 9 persons) with modern equipement for the fight against wild fires.According to the press reales of MIRA this aid represents a proof of the good relations between our countryes. According to MIRA the helicopter will stay in Greece until the last fire will be extincted. I'm sorry for the victims. United we will win!
