@youmybeautifulrescue Jesus christ....the song is about moving on after realizing someone isn't coming back. Leaving has already taken place in "Boston". Listen to the whole album. It all makes sense.

@TracyStarNow Go listen to All the Stars and Boulevards again. He did go after her. She's over him though. Like I mentioned in a comment earlier, this is like a part 3 to Boston. In Boston, the girl decides to final move on. In Wasteland, the guy decides to go after her but comes back alone. In Sunday Best, he finally realizes that it's his turn to move on.
