@neo69hk depends on what kind of sound you want. I had the Plain G2 before and I loved the thing. for the most part it gives you a clean tone, reason why i go with it instead of most line 6 i tried. It is a step far above the G2 models tho.Feels alot more like a tube amp. Also sounds alot better thru an amp. but if worst comes to worse you can get a metal pedal and use The G3 as an added eq to tweak your sound. thing is like 100 pedals in 1. what kind of sound are you going for?

Does G3 great for metal ?
i have g2.1nu before ..but it disappointed me..
and the g2.1nu are no good for metal...
but i still thinking to buy g3 or not ..
